Bret joined SMS in 1992 and became co-owner in 1996.
Troy joined SMS in 1996 and became co-owner in 2020.
Amanda joined Special Medical Services in July of 2012.
Becky joined Special Medical Services in August of 2014.
Jeff has worked at Special Medical Services since 1985. He serves as Manager of the Respiratory, Cardiopulmonary, and Vascular Diagnostic departments and his primary duties lie in this area. However, he also assists PT’s with both inpatient and outpatient care when needed. Jeff performs Carotid, Arterial vein screening and Venous Duplex Ultrasound, along with Vascular screening.
Terry began working full time in Special Medical Services in 1991. She graduated from Hamilton Business College and California College of Health and Science. She performs daily office activities including payroll, accounts receivable and payable, along with patient scheduling, filing, and patient charges. Terry also assists PT’s and PTA’s with patient care, including both inpatients and outpatients. Other duties include involvement in Stress Testing, EKG’s, Holter Monitors, and Pulmonary Function testing.
Bette graduated from California College of Health Sciences. She has worked for Special Medical Services since 1992 working closely with PT’s and PTA’s inpatient care, including both inpatients and outpatients. Other duties include respiratory treatments, Stress Testing, Holter Monitors, EKG’s, and Pulmonary Function testing. Bette also works with patient scheduling, filing, and patient charges.
Emily graduated from NIACC as a PTA in 2013. Emily's primary duties here will include assisting PT's with patient care, including both inpatients and outpatients. Other duties include EKG's as well as office duties such as patient scheduling, filing, and patient charges.
Ashley graduated from NIACC as a PTA in 2014. She has been employed previously in Dubuque for 1 year in Skilled Nursing, Home Health, and Outpatient Services. Ashley's primary duties here will include assisting PTs with patient care, including both inpatients and outpatients. Other duties include EKG's, Holter Monitors, as well as office duties such as patient scheduling, filing, and patient charges.
Kayla duties include EKGs, Holter monitor setups, patient scheduling, filing of charts, patient charges, patient care of inpatient and outpatients, assisting of therapists to carry out plan of care. Interests are gait deviations, balance impairments, neural pathologies, patients with TBIs, working with patients on their personal goals to improve functions of daily living, and IASTM.
